Jaipur & Ranthambore

An outing with a couple of close knit families, planned well in advance to cover the time Mahi had before she got busy with her 10th grade.

All set at the airport lounge.

Some fun at the hotel in Jaipur before heading out for dinner.

Why should kids have all the fun, I say ;-)

Hawa mahal is a standing testament of amazing architecture. Too crowded a place though and hence did a quick drive-along glance at it.

Hawa Mahal

A visit to the wonderful and majestic Amber fort, the palace on top and the Sheesh Mahal.

All the heat was bearing down upon us and we were famished. Hurried to a nice place for a sumptuous lunch.

Post lunch we drove along the lake housing the beautiful Jal Mahal. Then, we headed to the Nahargarh fort to catch the sunset. Mesmerizing to say the least.

Wonderful spot for some selfies too :-D

On the way back, we encountered a Hyena. What a sighting that was!, a lifer for me as well !!

We stopped over at the Jal Mahal to take in the amazing view and a short camel ride.

The following morning, we made a quick dash to Jhalana for the morning safari. Not much in terms of photography, nevertheless, sightings were great. We got to see two mating pairs of leopards, 4 individuals is not a bad way to begin our safari advengture :-D

Rest of the day was for shopping…

By the evening, we were ready to head to Ranthambore. Our safari journey was to begin from the next morning.

Damn good sightings overall. Started off a bit teid, however, finished off with a bang…

Noori, Sultana with her 3 cubs, one more unknown Tigress, 3 Leopards (mother and cubs) and 4 Leopards ( 2 mating paris ) at Jhalana, thats pretty impressive for sure. Pretty dry still in terms of birding, migrants have just about started to arrive.
